Church volunteers perform tasks that staff members do not have the capacity or skills to accomplish. They use their time and talents for community service, fulfilling their desire to help others while ensuring the local church can direct more energy to its mission. In short, we understand that volunteers are vital to a healthy church.
At Revival Porch, we seek volunteers for several roles. We will be glad if you can volunteer to use your time, skills, talents to serve in God's household and to serve God's people. Apart from the divine blessings attached to serving God's purpose, we believe we are creating opportunities to connect in church by performing roles like greeting, ushering, or working in the Children's Ministry. It also can be very helpful to offer alternative volunteer opportunies for those who cannot make a consistent commitment or commit to a certain day of the week to serve.
Volunteer With Us Through the Following Ministries
Ushering & Security.
You can volunteer to serve in the Ushering department. Ushers are a vital part of worship, finding seats for new church members, passing offering plates during Sunday morning services, assisting with communion, and more. Simply put, they make your church service take place smoothly. You can also work at the Security department offering security services.
Kids Church.
Teachers are needed to lead lessons and activities. These volunteers must dedicate quite a bit of time, as they will need to be present for classes and spend a couple of hours each week in preparation. Teacher’s assistants help where needed, especially with young children or those in a nursery.
Music Team.
What is a church service without music? Opportunities for musicians are available in our congregation which include soloists, a praise band, youth and adult choirs, and more.
Prayer Team.
Those that are in the intercessory ministry are welcome to join our prayer team to interceed for the World, the country, members as well as the church. They are vital to the Service of the church as the prayer team and as members in the deliverance team.
Administrative Support.
We also need members that can provide administrative support to church and the Pastorate.
Technical & Audiovisual
The church need volunteers in the Media Department,; those gifted with tech-savviness to run our soundboard, lights, PowerPoint slides, and cameras.
We also need members who are graphic designers, photographers, or social media marketers to create promotional pieces, capture the beauty of your church, and assist with spreading the word.
